Not even that, she also made calls during wee hours in the morning like 12+am, 1+am, 3+am...could you believe it! What is she up to? Making calls at this hour?!?!?!

She made 2 calls to the same number on the day she ranaway, one was at 11:46am for 2 minutes and another one was at 2:10pm for 8 seconds (my mum was home around 12pm+ till 2pm). So I guess she ran away around that time, informing the guy to pick her up.

Watch out for this Indonesia maid.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1Vz03Lk7N8A/Rwx31OxXwRI/AAAAAAAAAEk/EWJ28R8Sjxo/s400/untitled.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5119598632795357458" />

She also made few calls to this few numbers

1. +60166053217
2. +60178932248
5. +60125696729
6. +60175162721

Are You A Punctual Person?

As always, my ex-school friends of mine will definitely make it a point to have a monthly meetup / gathering.

For some reason, this month we almost cancel the plan at the last minute. BUT we decide to continue on though more than half of them couldn't make it. Maybe this time round, the timing was not good enough as some of them either have other things to attend or outstation. We don't want to change to another date whereby is suit everyone...since this time round, in total we had changed the date thrice, trying to suit everyone but still couldn't find a perfect day.

So, it end up only 5 of us, I was assuming this time round, I wouldn't have to wait for long since the dinner was set a 7:30pm furthermore during this period of the month is "RAMADAN"; afternoon school are off earlier but yet I have a friend turn up almost 45 minutes late. Why so late? She don't need to fetch her children back from school not even tuition class but still she's late. I don't know why she takes so long, her office hour end at 5:30pm compare to mine, it ends at 6:00pm and I still manage to go home, take my shower and drive all the way to old town yet I was the first to arrived.

While, we were waiting for her, the waitress have already ask us for the food orders thrice and I feel so pissed off with my friend. Finally she arrived, we wanted to whack her nicely but before we couldn't even speak up, the waitress already shoot her nicely for us... hahahaha...off course the waitress darn not, she just being sarcastic on her words directing hinting to my friend, that she was extremely late, until we have order our 2nd drinks while waiting for her :p

Anyway, back to my question... Are U A Punctual Person?

As for me, I'm quite a punctual person and absolutely HATE to be kept waiting, specially if I'm ready to go somewhere. Showing up on time indicates your respect for other people. Therefore, punctuality to me is a great way to make a positive personal impact. Being late, not only meeting up with friends, even for office meetings, or worse yet missing deadlines could hurts or damage your image.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Today is the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrated by Chinese worldwide on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month. It is also known as ‘Mooncake Festival’ and ‘Lantern Festival’ (whichever you call it) and signifies the end of the harvest season.

Actually, what’s it about? Many fairytales and stories surround these happy festival. However, these days at this festival another officially excuse for reunion with families and friends.

Mooncakes are a kind of sweet cakes, traditionally shaped like the full moon and filled with ground lotus seeds. These days you can find all sorts of moon cakes in various shapes and ingredients — most of them would have a duck egg yolk in the middle of the cake.

As for me, as a usual ritual, my mum would cook some delicious food. (although this year, I should say I'll have a hard time cleaning up after her cooking :p) But I will enjoy the fun of gathering with my family members and the foods.

This year my sister in law, makes some mooncakes, there are 2 types, 1 is red bean (which my mum requested) and another one is ”five nuts” (Ng Yan) consists of walnut, sunflower seed, macadamia nuts, almonds and black/white sesames. This is my dad's favorite but not mine, I just dislike the smell and the taste of it... really no "hou fook". Beside these types, this year we have jelly coconuts mooncakes made by my mother's friend's children (luckily this one is not the jelly soft type, as I dislike eating those):p

Happy celebrating the night with eating the mooncakes while admiring the moon and playing your lanterns (the other day, I saw Giant Supermarket do sell the lantern with garfield shape but too bad my mum forbid me to buy it :p)

Please remember don’t play with fire and burn your house down. :D

Secret

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_1Vz03Lk7N8A/Rvof8OxXwMI/AAAAAAAAAD8/AIZcCMNyARo/s400/Secret.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114435446450405570" />

Looking forward to see this movie for quite some time AND finally I able to watch it tonight. It is the first movie directed by Jay Chou himself.

The scores in the movie are freaking good and you get to see Jay with his piano skills. It’s like a time for him to show-off, and he done it all perfectly well. Wish I can play like him...(dreaming...) Love most, the piano battle, "Piano Battle?!?" YES, there is one!!! And another part DUET!!! I'm going to hunt the music scores...

There are also comical reliefs between Jay’s father(Anthony Wong) and him. Funny scenes between them. So don't worry if you think Secret is too romantic for you to handle. Even I'm not pro in Mandarin, I still managed to have a few laugh due to the many slapstick around.

But of course good things don't always go well... and there’s a twist at the very end of the movie. Shall not spoil any further.

Well, recommend that you watch it with someone you like/love, for the greater impact.

Given Birth

picture from www.wibbelsphotography.net

I've Finally Given Birth!
(Opps!!! not me...is a friend of mine...to be precise is his wife :p)

Admitted at 10:00pm (Monday, 17th September, 2007) but took more than 24 hours before the baby finally decided to come out to face the world at 10:30am (Wednesday, 19th September, 2007). Need to get some sleep now...zzzzzzzzz

My Runaway Maid is a Thief after all

YUCKS!

I only realised early this morning that my maid stole 2 of my digital cameras and 2 Hennessy "VSOP" with her. YES, my maid ran away, between 1.30pm - 6:00pm yesterday.

As usual, my mum was back home around 12:00pm after her daily trip to the market. Since yesterday, lunar calendar is the 1st day of 8th month, I was on vegetarian for a day hence, my mum bring me home cooked food for lunch. She left the house around 1:00pm. My mum stay at office till 5:30pm before she left home with my dad. They reached home around 6:00pm. My dad honked a few times but there is no sign of my maid to come out to open the gate for them. They walk in to the living room, then to kitchen, no sign of her, my mum saw those vegetable and fish that she brought, still lying at the dining table, dishes never wash... then went to her room, clothes never iron, she’s gone!!!

I reached home around 6:30pm, saw my mum at the porch talking to my neighbour, I suspecting something wrong, my mum told me, our maid left. I went to check her clothes, true enough most of it are gone (especially those clothes that my sister-in-law gave her lately), her shoes were missing but her bag are still in the cupboard, confirm sudah lari. My mum called the maid agency, from the tel-conversation, our agency won't replace a new maid as she's already 5th month, this is the heartbreak part, means gotta spend another 5-6K to get a new maid, we did brought Insurance but the agency haven't told my mum how much they will pay us back. Have to go the maid agency to settle the stuff.

Lately, we feel she changed, as we get frequent mid-night phone calls from a Malay man looking for Din. I went to Telekom last week, inquiry for a list of incoming calls but being told that the system is upgrading therefore couldn't give us a report.

My brother went to make police report and being told that our place, lately there have been many cases on house robbery. So, we really have to be more careful and being more alert. I'm going to get some change in our locks just in case.

But I still thank god for this to happen…to make us realise how we should handle maid in the future. It’s really an eye opener.

Anyway, no more stories about her... and enough of maid experience...

Attached below are her passport ...incase, anyone of you did see her...do please report to the police.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1Vz03Lk7N8A/RvnJx-xXwJI/AAAAAAAAADk/lItetDqWF4M/s320/tarmini.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5114340712356757650" />

Lesson learned: Never trust what your maid says or behave or even how innocent they look, they can never be trusted.

GREAT Shadow Puppetry

Wow... this is so cool... gotcha share this with you.
Louis Armstrong sings "What a Wonderful World" behind it.

This is a brilliant work by Australia’s only unusualist, Raymond Crowe. He is one of those artists that really put all his heart in his work.

Here is one of his shows where he plays with shadows. Did I say "Shadows". Yes and you may think "Shadows"? Yucks! That’s boring and that’s for kids only!. But wait, work by Raymond Crowe, shouldn't miss a chance of it. His work is not only for kids but also for adults since his shadows give a lot of words out. And they really are alive, with his motion he gives them life and a character.

Check it out yourself

Aren’t it’s really amazing? Quickly, I reviewed how I was feeling.

Heavy meal? Nope.
Hungry? Nope.
Feel sick? Little with a slight flu.
Stressed about the next day? That's not it, since tomorrow is Sunday or is already Sunday now :p I should be relax...

I've consider been a good sleeper, roughly 7-8 hours per night. But yet, I've had sleepless nights like this happening more frequently lately but last night was the worst of all.

Eventually, I did fall asleep somewhere after 4:30am and it lasted 2.5 hours. In between I frequent to washroom for 3-4 times, lastly at about 7:30am I'm awake again and annoyed. Restless, I slid out of bed and headed for the computer. I checked some e-mails accounts which I've been ignored for months.

As nice I have accomplish something but I would have preferred to get my good night's sleep and be bright-eyed in the morning. Instead, I faced the day in a coffee-induced semi-alert state appearance. My family members could easily mistake me for one of the zombies they saw in some movies. Believed to have originated in Malaysia, durian evokes extreme feelings and opinions. You either love it or hate it. While some would pay any price to acquire it, others would rather be exiled to a desert island than to be trapped in the same room with a durian.

One thing is certain: at first sight durian instantly startles and captivates your attention. You cannot simply walk away, ignoring a durian. Durian commands your attention like a real superstar...but unfortunately I HATE DURIAN!!!

Used to adore eating it when I was little, its taste like heaven but not until I was somewhere in my mid 20's...now durian to me stinks like hell. Its really awful, I definitely will vomit even its a mile away. There is no way, you can persuade me eating it even given me the $$$. My mum say I crazy, yeah I am WEIRDO but don't ask me why...I myself also wants to find out.

I have warn my family members, no durian at home not even in the garden. You all wants to eat, by all means eat it outside or when I'm not around (like on vacation) :p So, it had been years, not a single durian dare to lands at my house (hahahaha)

But being pity my parents, I drove out today with my mum after breakfast, ask her to buy only 1 durian and command her to put inside the car's boot but my mum took the advantage, she brought 3 and I didn't know her trickiness. I just knew the smell is going to kill me soon, so I drove all the way home with one hand pressing onto my nose while breathing through my mouth. By the time I reach home, just at the car porch, I couldn't stand any longer, I throw out. Went to the bathroom...yes I vomit non stop...and you know what, within a min...I was collapsed and fainted. That scare the hell of my mum and my maid. :D

What happen to the 3 durians??? Well my parents didn't eat it, my mum gives all to my neighbour. So now...is my mum who give the RULES....NO DURIAN PLEASE!!!

Humanmetrics, What's Yours?

It's a personality test, based on Jung typology test.
What's Jung Typology??? I thought of sharing it out.

Please read this - real life story and its general info for all ladies, especially those who have irregular menstruation, pregnant, planning to get pregnant and married.

I have decided to write this email after my sis went for a surgery she never expected to have and I hope by telling our experiences will help more ladies out there whom are still unaware if they are one of those that need to undergo such a surgery.

What am I talking about? Well, some of you may have heard about FIBROIDS but I believe manyout there still do not know that such a 'thing' actually exist, just like me 9 mths ago before I was pregnant.

What is a FIBROID? Quoted from a website about Fibroid. "Uterine leiomyomas, commonly known as fibroids, are well-circumscribed, non-cancerous tumors. Leiomyomas are the most common solid pelvic tumor in women, causing symptoms in approximately 25% of reproductive age women. Leiomyomas are usually detected in women in their 30's and 40's."

As a typical kiasu Singaporean or should I say a kiasu mother-to-be, I actually went to a poly clinic to have a thorough body checkup to ensure that I'm in good condition to have a healthy baby before getting pregnant.

The checkup consist of blood and urine tests for Rubella, Hep B, Diabetes and blood pressure. After I got my result that I'm in perfect condition to conceive, I found myself pregnant 1 mth later. I went for my 1st enatal checkup at the poly clinic. I was estimated to be 6 wks pregnant at that time ! but when the doc did a simple check on my abdomen by pressing on it, she suspected that I miscalculate my last period as the foetus appears to be bigger than estimated, seems like I'm already 3 mths pregnant.

As this is a planned pregnancy, I'm pretty sure about the date and so she suspected that there's a fibroid in me. I was then referred to a specialist at NUH.

I went to the specialist a wk later. The doc did an ultra scan on me and found a huge fibroid which was abt 6-7cm at that time. He told me that he can't remove it since I'm already pregnant as it will be dangerous for the foetus.

Fibroids grow in size especially during pregnancy due to blood flow. My fibroid was 10cm when I was at my 5th mth of pregnancy, luckily it stopped growing from then. And thank God, it grew out of the way from my foetus allowing my baby to grow. However, during my 8th mth, my doc suspected that the fibroid is competing blood with my foetus as my amniotic fluid dropped and my baby's body seems to be smaller as not enough blood
flow to build my baby's body fats. This pregnancy gave me the chance to get to know the existence of fibroids.

I did some readings on fibroids over the net and realized it also causes menstrual problems to some women. Knowing my sister has been having heavy menstrual flow problem, I suggested that she go do an ultra scan to see if it's really that she might be having fibroids too. I'm glad she heeded my advice and went for a scan at KK hospital. True enough, KK found 2 fibroids in her which was abt 4cm. Sad to say that the doc at KK is not giving her proper information andadvice what she should do, they simply ask her if she wants to remove them. Thinking by not removing it does not cause any harm, most people will definitely choose to leave it alone, who would like to have a surgery for no reason? Luckily my sis starts to learn more about fibroids from the net and from friends who have undergo such surgery before. A friend recommended her to see a gynae at East Shore Hospital and she did. Her gynae found that her fibroid has grown to almost 5cm and told her that fibroids which are more than 4cm are advised to be remove, as fibroids grows even bigger, one is at risk to have her uterus remove. So she finally decided to heed the doc's advise and went for the surgery.

And guess what the doc actually found 12 fibroids in her during the surgery!!!

Another case I'd learnt from the midwife of my antenatal class, it was her first pregnancy and she was expecting a normal delivery. However she was in her first stage of labour for 12 hours and her cervix remained to be 4cm wide since her admission to the hospital. She finally requested for a caesarean as she couldn't bear the pain and waiting time. During the surgery, the doc found a fibroid blocking right at the birth canal thus preventing the baby's head to push open the cervix.

I really hope all ladies out the re who are planning for a baby do request for an ultra scan before conceiving, even if not for yourself but for the safety of your baby. Of course those ladies who are not planning for a baby! but having menstrual or other uterus problems can request for such a checkup too. Prevention is always better than cure. My fibroid gave me additional stress, pressure and worries during my pregnancy. I really hope by spending time and effort to have this email typed, you too will make the effort to take care of yourself.
